Don is always sending in great images of finished projects and this one is no exception. He had made full use of the Celtic Frame No.1 project to make a great looking frame for a piece of his "cherished" artwork.
"The Celtic Frame is 19" x 19 " and the rosettes are 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".
The wood is Tulip/Poplar
The Finish is Rust-oleum Matt Clear.
The Time was around 9 hours doing each piece separately."
The end result looks pretty great and those dark stripes in the wood really add to its interest!
Don also sent us in this picture of the frame unfinished. The idea that he CNC'ed the rosettes and the long top and bottom pieces sure was a time saver and in the end, shows that he could have easily have made any sized frame just by adjusting the lengths of the top and bottom.
