A Special Memorial Box<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"After my dads funeral, my younger brother and myself decided to give my dad\u2019s ceremonial flag to my youngest brother, he took some of <\/em>dads personal belongings and I took the 21 ceremonial rounds.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Had been meaning to make something to display them, but it would have been an awful big plaque...So I decided instead to make a memorial box to put them in.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

\"The box itself is a tweaked version of Michaels Tyler and Vectric's \u201cMothers Keepsake\u201d box.\"<\/em><\/p>\n

\"I spent I think about 30 hours on this box due to the small bits I had to use to get the raised lettering on the seals.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

Laying Out The Design<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like many projects, James started out with a few different layout ideas that he used to finalize\u00a0his finished project.<\/p>\n

\"The top I used Sunburst 1<\/a> and Wreath and Star<\/a>\u00a0model to make the American Legion seal.\"\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Made vectors around the seal and did a .003 pocket to get the raised letters.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Memorial Box Ends<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Right side<\/strong> of the box has dad\u2019s \u201cchief\u201d symbol and I used Navy Chief Emblem v2<\/a> model and also put a rope border around it using Rope Border<\/a> model\"<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Left side<\/strong> of the box I used the US Navy Assembly from the Military Service Seals (the reimagined\u00a0project is now called\u00a0US Military Pride<\/a>) and the Star No.1 from Hack of the Week 156<\/a>.\u00a0 Pocket on this was .01\"<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

What a great way to finish off the box so it can be viewed from any angle.\u00a0 The weight of this piece is truly\u00a0understood and expressed in all of its details.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
